Jed was a passenger aboard Ajira Airways Flight 316 and a survivor of the crash on the Hydra Island.

Jed found Frank at one of the outriggers on the beach, after he had returned from Hydra Island. He warned him that Ilana, Bram, and two other survivors found some guns and were taking charge.

   

Frank then proceeded to speak with them at the Ajira Crate and after failing to answer their question, “What lies in the shadow of the statue” (Jacob); they knocked him out and took him with them to see Jacob. (“Dead Is Dead”)

6×08 – Recon

   

He may have been killed by Widmore’s team, along with other Ajira survivors who remained on Hydra Island. (“Recon”)

However, since his body is never shown, his ultimate fate remains unknown.

An aspect of the sun god Re, Auf was a ram-headed god who wore the solar disc and traveled at night through the Underworld waterways in order to reach the east in time for the new day; however, he still had to fight off the creatures of the Underworld. Demons and gods towed his boat along while Auf stood in a deck-house, over which was coiled the serpent Mehen who warded off the dangerous Apep. The boat of night was crewed by the gods Hu, Saa and Wepwawet.
