Locke initially thought Peter was “soliciting” but after he asked whether he knew Adam Seward he let him into his apartment. He told John about his suspicions about his mother’s new beau, and looked into Seward’s past to find he once went by the name Anthony Cooper.

With this, Peter found that John donated a kidney to Cooper, and used this bit of evidence to assume that, if someone were kind enough to give Cooper a kidney, then he couldn’t be all bad. John lied to Peter, saying that his act of generosity towards his father was an “anonymous donation.”

Death

Peter was found dead after his encounter with Locke, presumably killed by Anthony Cooper. Detectives Mason and Reed were assigned to investigate his death. (“The Man from Tallahassee”)

Wiki Info

In Greek mythology, Menoetius referred to several different people:

A son of Iapetus and Clymene or Asia, and a brother of Atlas, Prometheus and Epimetheus, was killed by Zeus with a flash of lightning, in the fight of the Titans, and banished to Tartarus.

Father of Patroclus and Myrto (by either Sthenele, Periopis or Polymele), son of Actor and Aegina. This Menoetius may have been one of the Argonauts.
